Rudraksh – The Bead of Well Being

Rudraksh seeds are from Rudraksh fruit obtained from tree botanically known as Elaeocarpus Ganitrus. Its English name is Utrasum bead tree. It is known to mankind for last several thousand years for its beneficial effects. It is considered to be incarnation of Bhagwan Shiva. In Shiva Purana it is mentioned that Lord Shiva on opening eyes after along penance, hot drops of tears rolled down and mother Earth gave birth to Rudraksh tree. Rudraksh is mentioned in Upanishads, Devi Bhagwat beside Shiva Purana. It is very important and mystical bead for meditation and for Rishi cult. It can be worn by any person.

Rudraksh beads have been used for thousands of years as an aid to self-empowerment and self-enlightenment. It has been shown that Rudraksh beads have electromagnetic properties and these affect human body when worn. There are clefts called Mukhis on surface of Rudraksh seed. The number of Mukhis on seed help us in determining its quality. Range of Mukhis is from 1—14 and even more. Yogi’s and monks have found, it gave them tremendous amount of tranquility and concentration. Different faces [Mukhis] have different electromagnetic qualities. Scientifically Rudraksh beads are dielectric as they store electric energy and also possess permanent magnetic properties. Seeds are dynamically polar hence have diamagnetic properties. It is seen that dielectric and magnetic property of Rudraksh seed impart positive changes in bioelectric system of human body. Scientists attribute its beneficial effects to its electric and magnetic properties that affect our Nervous system and other organs. Types of Rudraksh:--Rudraksh is classified on basis of Mukhis[Clefts] Rudraksh of different mukhis please different Planets. Scriptures speak of 1---38 mukhis but 1—14 are in common use. It is important to test authenticity of beads Genuine Rudraksh will not float in water, boiling for 6 hours will not destroy it. If you keep it between two copper coins genuine Rudraksh will move due to its .magnetic effect. Now let us see significance of mukhis in Rudraksh:--

Ek mukhi:-- It is very rare but most powerful. Lord of this is SHIVA, Planet is SUN. It is good for health especially good for bowel disease, Migraine. Mantra for this is:-Om hrim namah.

2 MUKHI:--Lord is Ardnarishwara, Planet Moon. Good for relationships, Brain.

                        Mantra:-OM OM NAMAH

3Mukhi:-Its lord is AGNI, Planet Mars. Good for confidence, Depression. It controls bad effects of Mars. Good for Mangliks. Mantra:-Om kleem namah.

4Mukhi:-Its lord is Brahma, Planet BUDH [Mercury] it takes care of bad effects of Mercury. It is good for stammers, students. Mantra:-Om hreem namah.

5Mukhi:--Its lord is Rudra, Planet Jupiter [Brihaspati].It is safe and most common. It is for general wellbeing. It lowers blood pressure and calms nerves. It is also used for Japa and controls bad effects of Jupiter. Mantra:--Om namah shivaya

6Mukhi:-Its lord is Kartika, Planet Venus [sukur] Good for sexual organs, Prostate and to attract people, Mantra:-Om harem hum namah

7Mukhi:- Lord Mahalaxmi, Planet Saturn. Good for respiratory disorders, Paralysis, impotence. It is useful to counter Sadsati and other bad effects of Sani. Mantra:-Omhum namah.

8Mukhi:- Its lord is Ganesh, Planet Rahu. It is good for professional success. Mantra:-Om sah hum namah.

9Mukhi:--Lord is Durga, PLANET Ketu. It is used for cultivating patience.

10Mukhi:-Lord Maha Vishnu, no Planet

11Mukhi:-Lord Hanuman. Removes fear, for male progeny

12Mukhi:-Lord Sun, Planet also Sun. Its effects are same as Ek mukhi. Mantra:-Om hum harem namah.

13Mukhi:--Lord Indra. Planet Venus can make you King

14Mukhi:- Lord Hanuman, cures bad effects of Saturn. Mantra:--Om namo namah. It awakens 6th sense.

One has to use different mukhi Rudraksh for countering bad effects of planets. One can use mala of Rudrakshs. Malas can be of 108 beads, 54 and 27 beads. At first time wearing chant Om namah Shivaya 108 times, touch it to photo of lord Shiva and then wear it for full effects. For medicinal benefits keep it overnight in glass of water then drink that water in morning. It should be worn on Monday, Shivratri, poornima, Amavasya or on Sankranti day. Never take it to burial place. Take it off at sex time, be preferably nonveg and take it off during sleep. .Nylon or cotton thread is used to make mala. Clean it every six months.

There is a legend if Rudraksh is held above water it will move clock wise if water is drinkable. It will move anticlock wise if water has been poisoned. It is shield against negative energies. It has antiaging effect too. Rudraksh increases body energy, self-confidence, intelligence, intuition and so on. It harmonizes and balances all body systems. It can be activated by chanting” Om namah Shivaya”.Rudraksh is good tool to purify one’s Self.

Verchak—3,14, Dhanu-5,14,17, Makar—1,7,14,Kumbh—1,7,14, Meen—5,14,17 Mukhi is recommended.
