SCIENTIFIC ANCIENT INDIA
There is a systematic attempt by some Indigenous scholars to
marginalize India and its achievements in past. Ashis Nandy declares Astrology
to be science of poor. Before going further let me remind readers what US Prof
NICE states, “It is India which has shaped the world we live in today”.
Modern science believes in dead matter, shorn of
consciousness. Darwinian evolutionary theory is ignored by devolutionists like
CREMO , Richard Thompson who believe in devolution from BRAHMAN through Karma.
Vedic science is attacked and is declared a pseudoscience, full of superstitions,
so says Meera Nanda.
There is no doubt that an ancient tradition of excellence in
science existed in India. Western scholars now believe that Indosarswat
civilization which existed around 3000BC used system of weights and measures
based on awareness of decimal system. It is also clear that they had knowledge
of geometry. In later times mathematics emerged. The term”Ganita” means science
of calculation. As far back ,500BC Jotish Vedanga used tools to fix position of
new Moon ,full Moon and eclipses. A group of 16 sutras were used in Vedic times
to solve mathematical and Algebric problems. Aryabhata[5th century]
, Brahmgupta[6th century], Mahavira[9th century],
Baskara[12th century] made ground breaking contributions in science
of mathematics which were unknown to West.This clearly debunks theory of Meera
Nanda who calls Vedic science , a science of superstition. She even labels it
pseudoscience.

reached where we are today.

is well known that concept of Zero, Decimal system originated in India.
Numerals which West calls Arabic numerals had its origins in India. AL Basham,
noted writer wrote, “Man who devised decimal system was from India”. Question
comes, why are there attempts to derail India’s past? It is fundamentalist
Hindus who harm more than Western biased writers , when they say”SIVA” was
great environmentalist or Kunti conceived because of IVF”.The tragedy is that
on one hand mythology is mixed with science and on other hand secularists label it communal conspiracy. The irony of it
is that ancient India had scientific achievements but our pseudo scholars are
making mess of it by mixing Myth with reality. Then they have their own stupid interpretations,
relying on western sources as they lack knowledge of Sanskrit. To know Sanskrit
is must to know reality as all our manuscripts are in that language.
Vedic knowledge
unlike other knowledge is an experiential knowledge. Vedic gods were not gods
for sake of worshiping but represented cosmic forces which rule this universe.
Indologists invented INVASION theory to delegitimize Indian civilizations and
India’s achievements. Their attempt was to make Indians ashamed of their
glorious past. Date of Rigveda , oldest book on earth was put 300BC by these
Indologists. Even Max Muller, proponent of Aryan invasion theory admitted
before his death, “ Six systems of Indian Philosophy whatever may be date,
300BC OR 3000BC, they have unique place in this world”.Vedic science is
indigenous can be proved by Archeology ,Cultural continuity and genetic
research. There is Vedic literature which mentions sophisticated scientific
techniques. There is detailed account of TIME and Cosmology in Vedas. Karl
SAGAN , astrophysicist said,” Vedic cosmology closely parallels modern
scientific findings. History of mathematics by Seidenberg states,”Sulbasutras,
the ancient Vedic science of mathematics, constitute the source of mathematics
in the antic world, from Babylon to Greece”. Movement of stars calculated by
Hindus 4500 years ago does not differ even by a minute from the scientific tables we read today. John Hagelin,
physicists at international conference proposed, to reestablish Vedic science.
In his lecture he stressed, Veda means “Laws governing universe”. He calls
Vedas unified field. To the dismay of
India baiters he even found quite parallelism in his unified field theory and Vedic concept of
creation. This shows scientific basis of Vedic India. Are n’t these scientific
statements a slap on people who call Vedic science a pseudoscience. Modern science has explored
finer levels of creation, Vedic science has even explored finer levels of mind.
Both describe creation as an expression of infinite dynamism embedded in
infinite silence of the underlying field.

scientific basis , has contributed a lot in Math , Astrology , Cosmology. In
